Mary E. Rex

Mary E. (Hankey) Rex, age 94, of Spruce Drive New Ringgold, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at Blue Moutain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus in Lehighton.

Widow of Charles L. Rex who died on February 18, 1998.

Protestant by faith, Mary had worked in the Textile Industry, and enjoyed doing puzzles.

She was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Rex) Hankey.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Florence (Rex) Hill and her companion Gregg Peltz,
Charlotte A. (Rex) Leiby both of New Ringgold;

One Son,
Carl F. Rex and his wife Mary of Tamaqua

Two Sisters,
Mae (Hankey) Krynock of Coaldale,
Shirley (Hankey) Reichelderfer of Tamaqua;

Fifteen grandchildren; many great & great-great grandchildren;

Daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maureen Rex.

Preceded in death by a son, Lester C. Rex on February 3, 2001; sisters, Mrs. Grace Robertshaw, Mrs. Eva Lukacik, and Mrs. Isabelle Brode; brother, George Hankey.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening February 12, 2013, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2013, Rev. Michael A. Frost to officiate.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua.
