Mary A. Dureka

Mrs. Mary A. (Arena) Dureka, age 98, of New Ringgold, Pa., formerly a resident of Norristown, Pa., died Monday, September 13, 2010, at the home of her daughter Frances Kowalewski, on Blue Mountain Drive New Ringgold, Pa., surrounded by her family.

Mary, had worked in the kitchen for the former Lincoln Country Inn, and had volunteered at the Blue Mountain Christian Retreat, both of New Ringgold.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Gasper and Frances (Monastero) Arena.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Frances (Dureka) Kowalewski wife of Steve, with whom she resided,
Mrs. Joyce (Dureka) Maffei wife of Ed of New Ringgold;

Foster daughter, Mrs. Angela Welch wife of Ray of Quakertown;

Two Sisters,
Lillian (Arena) Manderacchi wife of Frank of Macungie,
Marie (Arena) Budney of Egg Harbor, N.J.,

Six grandchildren
Fifteen great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 23, 1990, Joseph J. Dureka; foster daughter, Monica Smith; sister's Mrs. Jennie Genuardi, and Mrs. Theresa Genova.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Snyders Village, Rte. #309, New Ringgold, Pa..

Memorials Services will be at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. Saturday September 18, 2010 at 11 o'clock A.M.
