Mr. Marvin D. Rissinger, Jr., age 68, of Bressler Twp, Harrisburg, Pa., died Thursday, January 7, 2010, at St. Lukes Hospital, in Bethlehem, Pa.
A 1961 graduate of Central Dauphin High School, Marvin served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a mail handler, in the Harrisburg Terminal of the United States Post office from 1965 to 2005.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Marvin Rissinger, Sr., and the late Pauline (Chrissinger) Rissinger.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Ann (Burrell) Rissinger;

Mary Ann (Rissinger) Herring wife of George of Tamaqua, Pa.;
One Son,
Mark D. Rissinger and his wife Kristin of Oberlin, Pa.;
Two Sisters,
Roseanne (Rissinger) Tuttle wife of James of Duncannon, Pa.
Marlene (Rissinger) Hubley of Frederick, Md.;
One Brother,
Richard Rissinger of Lakeside, N.J.;
Three grandchildren, George D., Ashlyn N., and Alyssa;
Preceded in death by a sister Pauline Blaser
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2010.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 201, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating.
Interment will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
