Mrs. Martha S. (Stosilavage) Kokalec, age 88, of Orwigsburg, formerly of East Union Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Thursday, November 25, 2010, at Pottsville Hospital in Pottsville.
A 1941 Tamaqua High School graduate, Martha worked for 30 years retiring from the former Atlas Powder Co. of Tamaqua.
She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., where she was active in the Rosary Society and Ladies Auxillary.
Born in Middleport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bierstein) Stosilavage.
Preceded in death by her husband in 1994, Joseph Kokalec; brothers, Raymond, George, Robert, and Joseph Stosilavage; sisters, Mrs. Alice Haldeman, Mrs. Betty Lewis, and Mrs. Agnes Duncavage.
Survived by nieces, and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Monday, November 29, 2010.
Prayer services from the funeral home at 10 o'clock A.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 29, 2010, Rev. Willilam Linkchorst officiating.
Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery, in Tamaqua.
