Mrs. Marion Y. (Yelsh) Pickenheim , age 78, of Spring Brooke Twsp., Moscow, PA, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Geisinger CMC in Scranton.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ronald A. Pickenheim.
She retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot as a Contract Negotiator.
Marion graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1953 at the age of 16 where she was Valedictorian of her graduating class. She then attended Philadelphia Business Institute.
She was an avid reader and writer and an amature radio operator.
Born in Walker Township on September 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Comisac) Yelsh.
She is also survived by her
Two Sons,
Mark R. Pickenheim and his wife Lamia of Fairfax Station, VA;
Tim R. Pickenheim of Fairfax, VA;
Brother,
William P. Yelsh of Middletown , DE;
Grandchild,
Zane.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2015.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2015, Father Ignatius Gauvain to officiate.
Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
