Mrs. Marie E. “Mitzie” Zuber, 78 of 152 East fell Street, Summit Hill, Pa died Sunday (2-17-2008) in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of the late Michael M. Zuber Sr. who died June 30, 2002.
Born in Coaldale, Pa she was the daughter of the late Frank & Katherine “Kate” (Buzik) Juracka.
Before retiring in 1978 she was the personnel director at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was a past member of the American Academy of Medical Administrators and the American Society for Hospital Personnel Administration of the American Hospital Assoc. She was a graduate of Coaldale High School class of 1947 and a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Coaldale, Pa.
She is survived by her son with whom she resided Michael Zuber Jr.
Daughter : Catherine wife of Thomas Knepper of Columbus, Mississippi.
Brother: Frank Juracka of Summit Hill, PA.
Grandchildren: Greg Knepper of Kent, Washington and Alexis Knepper of Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Rose Mary Kintz.
Calling Hours: Wednesday evening (2-20-2008) from 6-9 pm at the Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home Inc. 200 East Bertsch Street, Lansford, PA 18232 and again on Thursday morning from 9:30am until time of service.
Prayer Service: Thursday Morning at 10:30am.
Mass of Christain Burial will be Thursday (2-21-2008) at 11am with the Rev. John Pavlosky officiating.
Interment: SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Nesquehoning, Pa.
Masses and Memorials in her name may be made to the church.
