Marie E. Lorah

Mrs. Marie E. (Stein) Lorah, age 84, of Wildcat Road, Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, April 22, 2011, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

Marie, retired from the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills of Tamaqua, having worked in the warehouse, and was affiliated with Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church of Lewistown Valley.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Gerber) Stein.

She is survived by her

Miss Gladys E. Stein of Clamtown;
Four Brothers,
Robert F. Stein and his wife Carol of Muncy Valley,
George M. Stein of Tamaqua,
David J. Stein of South Tamaqua,
Mark S. Stein and his wife Connie of Augusta, Ga.;

Nieces, and nephews;

Preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. "Pit" Lorah, who died July 15, 1998; brother, Christopher H. Stein, who died in 1971.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011, Rev. Brian J. Reading officiating.

Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua, Pa.
