Marie M (Fairchild) Haas, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt of Sheaman Rd., White Haven, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus, at the age of 73.
Survived by her husband of 52 years, Herman E. Haas; Daughter, Virginia M Haas of Allentown; brothers, David Fairchild and his wife JoAnn of Weatherly, William Fairchild of Florida; nieces and nephews also survive Marie.
Marie worked in the textile industry in her earlier years but she retired in 2010 from The White Haven Center as a Residential Service Aide after 20 plus years of service.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, White Haven where she was active in the Quilter's Guild of the church. Marie fostered her love of flowers helping her family run the former Driftwood Green House in Weatherly.
A 1962 graduate of Weatherly High School. Marie was an avid reader and she enjoyed sewing, and crafts.
Born in Hazleton on October 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Roger V. and Virginia (Hoffman) Fairchild. Marie was also predeceased by; brothers, Roger and Victor Fairchild; sister, Rose Marie King, Leona Gail Fairchild.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Funeral Service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 3, 2018, Reverend Lynn Rothrock to officiate.
Private Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
