Margaret "Peggy" Pudelka

Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" (Markovich) Pudelka, age 85, of South Amboy, N.J., died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, N.J.

Peggy graduated from the former Lansford High School in 1942.

She is a member of Sacred Heart R.C. C. of South Amboy New Jersey.

Peggy, worked for Highlander Sportsware of Newark, NJ, as a matcher and leather cutter for 25 years. Upon retiring, she worked as a receptionist for doctors Phillip Gatto and Edgar Martirez in South Amboy for 10 years.

Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of the late Vasil and the Kalyna Markovich.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Pudelka, Sr.;

One Daughter,
Carol A. (Pudelka) Penberth wife of Ron of Lansford;

One Son,
Robert Pudelka, Jr and his wife Dang of Laurel, Md.;

Two grandchildren, Deborah wife of Bob Krajcirik, and David Penberth;
Three great-grandchildren, Wes, Noah, and Mason;

Preceded in death by sisters, Ann Paluka, Mary Markovich, Pauline Vana, and Helen Tucker; brothers, John and Frank Markovich.

Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 200 E. Bertsch Street, Lansford, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday, December 21, 2009. Panachida Service will be at Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home Inc. at 10:00 AM Monday, December 21, 2009

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM from the Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home 200 East Bertsch Street Lansford, Pa., Rev. Ronald J. Hatton officiating.

Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cemetery, Summit Hill.
