Margaret Elizabeth Poshefko

Margaret E. (Vrabel) Poshefko, wife, mother, and grandmother age 93, of East Ridge Street Lansford, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at St Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward Matthew Poshefko.

Margaret, was a member of St. Katharine Drexel R.C.C. of Lansford.

Margaret had worked as a sewing machine operator for various Lansford Textile manufacturers.

Proud of her home, Margaret's life was focused on her family. An excellent cook, she enjoyed making ethnic dishes from haluski, to pierogies.

Margaret,liked to play bingo with friends, her hand held poker machine and crocheting.

No matter what her health concerns, Margaret was always available to go for a drive to enjoy the scenery. She had a postive outlook on life.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Demchak) Vrabel.

She is also survived by her four daughters,

Pat (Poshefko) Midas and her husband David of Lansford,
Joanne (Poshefko) Anderson and her husband Dennis of Lansford, Dona Poshefko and her companion Clete Schilling of Lansford,
Lisa (Poshefko) Solt and her husband Jeffrey of Lehighton.;

Four grandchildren, Jason Anderson, Kristin Sommers, David Midas, and Shaina Poshefko;

Six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn & Edward Marx, Ryan, and Madison Sommers, Gunnar and Hodge Midas;

Preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Mary Filipowski, Mrs. Ann Gianoulos, Mrs. Josephine Hoffman; brother, Mr. Joseph Vrabel.

Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pa..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 27, 2013 at 11 o'clock A.M. from St. Katharine Drexel R.C.C. 124 East Abbott street Lansford, Pa. 18232, Father Medve to celebrate.

Friends shall be recieved in church from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Mass cards or memorials in her name can be made to the church.

Interment at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
