Margaret M. Grega, of Weatherly Pennsylvania, mother, “Baba", sister, family matriarch passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Heritage Hill in Weatherly with her family by her side at the age of 87.
Widow of Edward F. Grega, Sr. she is survived by; daughters, Margaret McKelvey wife of Don of Knoxville, TN, Paula Gregory wife of Jim of Weatherly, Mary Susan Knepper of Weatherly, Annette Wickkiser wife of Paul of Weatherly, Christine Paisley wife of Nicholas of Weatherly; sons, Edward F. Grega, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Weatherly, Gerard Grega and his wife Catherine of Weatherly, Mark Grega and his wife Anella of Weatherly, Lawrence Grega and his wife Maura of York; sisters, Monica Marziarz wife of Edward of Hazleton, Regina Steeber of Hazleton, Annette Smerkanich wife of Paul of Hazleton, Marie Brady wife of Larry of Hazleton; brother, Paul Steeber and his wife June of Weatherly; 26 grand children; 17 great grandchildren.
Born Wednesday, February 25, 1931 in Beaver Meadows the daughter of the late George and Anna (Oslovich) Steeber. She was also predeceased by a sister, Claire Hartz and son-in-law, Barry Knepper.
A Hazleton High School graduate, Margaret had worked for Tung-Sol in Weatherly, and as a Nurse's Aide at Weatherwood in Weatherly. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly, Margaret was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Margaret’s happiness in life revolved around her faith in God, devoted and dedicated love to her beloved family, and the heartfelt care of the ill, elderly, and generosity to those in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and the lives she touched.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. at 11:00AM Saturday November 24, 2018 with interment at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. cemetery in Weatherly, Pennsylvania. Those wishing to pay respects to Margaret can do so from 9:00-10:30AM at the church prior to the service.
