Mrs. Margaret J (Strohl) Williams-Hruska-Doughty, age 82, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Lehigh Valley Hopital Salisbury Twp.
Margaret was an aide for 10 years at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Tamaqua and the New Ringgold Fire Co. Auxiliary.
Born in Mauch Chunk, she was the daughter of the late Russell Strohl and the late Eleanor (Reinhart) Strohl.
She is survived by her
daughters, Diane (Williams) Hewitt and her husband Robert of Norristown, Pa.; and Susan Williams of Lancaster, Pa.
sons, Ronald E. Williams and his wife Judy of Tamaqua; Richard A. Williams and his wife Barbara of Andreas; Leo Williams and Peter Williams both of Florida
sisters, Minnie Strohl of Montana and Carrie Markel of Lehighton
seven grandchildren
eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Doughty; son, Edward Williams; daughter, Eileen Williams; brother, Russell Strohl; sister, Eleanor Mitzen.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:30-7:00PM.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:00PM at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Reverend James Cavallero officiating.
Private Interment.
