Madalene Janet Flecknoe, 89 years of age, of East Patterson Street Lansford, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, June 13, 1931 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred J. (Tonkin) Godbehere. She was also predeceased her husband Palmer J. Flecknoe on June 27, 1995; son, Glenn A. Flecknoe on February 26, 2016; step - mother, Carrie Herring.
Surviving are daughter, Jeanette L. "Jay" Reese and her husband Paul of Lansford; grand children, Brian Reese and his husband Tyler Haluska, Scott Reese and his wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Dylan Palmer Reese, Noah Reese.
Madalene, raised her children in Levittown before returning to Lansford in 1975. She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star, Past President of the Lansford American Legion Aux., and longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lansford having sung in the choir for a number of years. Madalene participated in the Welsh Song Fest.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550
Interment will be in Grand Army, Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.
