Mabel M. (Deeble) Koehler, age 97, of Fairview Street Weatherly, passed away from this life to the life eternal on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton.
Mabel was the widow of Theodore "Puppy" Koehler who died Sept. 19, 1987.
All those who knew Mabel enjoyed her very much from her little sayings to her quick witt.
A homemaker, Mabel had worked in the Burlinger Silk Mill in Weatherly.
She was a member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly, Mabel enjoyed find-a-word crossword puzzles, and playing rummy with family. Mabel's passion was candy.
Born in Mt. Carmel, she was the daughter of the late George and Harriet (Frye) Deeble.
She is survived by her

Beverly E. (Koehler) Moser of Lehighton;
Step Son,
Theodore Koehler and his wife Ruth of Michigan;
Two grandchildren, Lori A. (Knepper) O'Donnell, and Alan D. Knepper, Sr. both of Weatherly;
Step grandchildren, Ron Koehler and his wife Mary of New Mexico, Brian Koehler and his wife Cassie of Florida, and Kim Tish wife of John of Ohio;
Great grandson, Alan "A.J." Knepper, Jr.;
Seven step great grandchildren, Rob, Frank, Kurt, Heidi Koehler, Matt, Mike and Madison Tish;
Preceded in death by brothers, George, Lee, Warren, and Elmore Deeble;
Step grandson, Cpl. Gary Koehler who was killed in action during the Iraq war in 2006.
