Mabel M. Hill

Mrs. Mabel M. (Stump) Hill, age 86, formerly of Summer Valley Road New Ringgold, Pa., died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing Home in Lehighton, Pa., surrounded by her daughter Jessica M. Zeigler.

A member of the Primitive Methodist Church, and its Ladies Aide Society of Tamaqua, Mabel was also active in T.O.P.S. of Tamaqua, and West Penn Lioness Club, as well as the Fersumling Group of Berks County.

A 1974 retiree of the former Atlas Powder Company, having served 28 years, she was a graduate of the Empire Beauty School of Pottsville.

Born in West Penn Twp., she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Tillie (Hettler) Stump.

She is survived by her

Three Daughters,
Norma K. (Hill) Conrad wife of Arlan of Mertztown,
Linda E. (Hill) Conrad of Tamaqua, Pa.
Jessica A. (Edmonds) Zeigler wife of Marlin of Tamaqua;

One Son,
Jeffrey L. Hill and his wife Lisa of Gettysburg, Pa.;

One Sister,
Wilda (Stump) Heffner of Kutztown, Pa;

Nine grandchildren

Preceded in death by her Infant daughter Kathy Ann Hill; son Allen "Butch" Michael Hill in 1977; brother William Stump.


Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa., Rte. #309 Snyders Village where the family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, July 16, 2010.

Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester FuneralHome at 1:00 PM Friday, July 16, 2010.


Interment will be at Jacobs Union Cemetery, New Tripoli.
