Mr. Lyle E Swanson, age 90, of New Ringgold, Pa., died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua, Pa.
Mr. Swanson was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and was previously employed by Pacific Coast Transit as a truck driver.
He was a Christian with deep faith.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of the late Daniel G. Gubbon and the late Della (Porter) Gubbon-Swanson.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Estela (Caballero) Swanson of New Ringgold;
one daughter,
Donna (Swanson) Housier and her husband Jerry of Kentucky
two sons,
Ronald Swanson and his wife Cheryl of New Ringgold, Pa. and
Gary Swanson of Norwalk, CA
thirteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
He was one of six brothers and sisters.
Preceded in death by his step-father, John Swanson; daughters, Judy (Swanson) Stratton and Bonnie Swanson; grandson, Garland Swanson; and great-grandson, Caleb Grim in 1995.
Memorial Service on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 7P.M. at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Brother Dave Parker will provide the talk.
