Louis Peter Konstas, 81 years of age, beloved husband, father, and brother of Arlington Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Providence Place in Drums, Pennsylvania.
Survived by his wife of sixty years, Joan Ann (Tumas) Konstas; sons, Thomas P. Konstas of Tamaqua, Louis P. Konstas of San Diego , CA,; brothers, Dino Konstas and his wife Marie of Tamaqua, Ernie Konstas and his wife Marsha of Edina, Mn,; sister, Fay (Konstas) Georgies of Tamaqua, nieces, and nephews also survive Louie.
A 1953 Tamaqua High School graduate, Lou served honorably in the United States Navy for twenty-seven years rising to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his time of services, he had one tour of duty to Vietnam, and was stationed with his family in Guam, while living in numerous ports of call throughout the United States.
An avid sports fan, Lou was a proud supporter of all local sports teams, and enjoyed collecting baseball cards. He was a member of the Tamaqua American Legion, and East End Fire Company.
Born Saturday, June 15, 1935 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Peter, and Penelope (Tataioannou) Konstas. He was predeceased by a brother, Angie Konstas.

Funeral service will be at 8 o'clock PM on Wednesday evening July 6, 2016 from the funeral home. Friends may call Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until time of services.
Interment with Military Honors will be in SS. Peter & Paul R.C. Cemetery, Owl Creek, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania Friday afternoon July 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
