Mrs. Lois J (Hinkle) Panckeri, age 79, of Quakake Rd., Weatherly, Pa., passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at Hospice Community Care of Wilkes-Barre surrounded by her family.
She was the widow of Paul R. Panckeri who passed away in 2005.
She was a member of St Matthew's Union Church of Weatherly where she served as Joint Treasurer for 30 plus years. Lois was the 1st woman elected to St. Matthew's Council.
She was Auditor of Packer Township for 30 years and Coordinator for the Thrivent Lutheran Brotherhood Chapter.
Lois was a 1949 graduate of Weatherly High School.
She was a homemaker.
Born in Packer Township, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Hinkle and the late Margaret (Peiser) Hinkle.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Donna J wife of Albert Titus of Weatherly;
One Brother,
Rev. Richard L Hinkle and his wife Gladys of Weatherly;
Three grandchildren,
Nathaniel, Colin and Alaina;
Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by sisters, Mary Powell, Mae Leitzel and Louise Frailey.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries, F.D. Supervisor where the family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6-9 PM.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11 o'clock AM at St. Matthew's Union Church 3153 Quakake Rd., Weatherly, Pa. 18255, Reverend Dawn Richie officiating. Call at the church from 10 o'clock until time of service.
Interment at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Weatherly, Pa.
