Lois Belle (Fowbell) Montz 92 years of age of Wetzel Run Drive, Weatherly passed away peacefully on Sunday June 24, 2018 at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr, in Weatherly.
Survived by her son, Ronald E. Montz and his fiancée Susan Shiroki of Packer Twp.; grand daughter, Amanda Leigh Montz and great grandson, Raymond Montz of Weatherly.
Born in Hazleton on August 31, 1925 the daughter of the late Edward, and Florence (Wardell) Fawbell. She was also predeceased by her; husband of seventy-one years, Clarence Emerson Montz who passed away in 2014; sister, Merle Wehner and her husband Walter.
A graduate of Hazleton High School class of 1943, Lois worked at the former Witticks Music Store in Hazleton, and for Tung-Sol of Weatherly. She also helped manage Fairview Bowling Lanes in Weatherly, which was built by her husband and brothers.
Lois was a loving and caring mother and wife. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband Emerson and was highly successful in both sports. Lois enjoyed bowling, archery, oil painting, arts and crafts, and was a talented organist. Her music delighted anyone who listened.
