Mrs. Lois (Tentinger) Evans, age 90, of East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, December 23, 2011, at home.
Catholic by faith, Lois had worked at the former Atlas Powder Co. of Reynolds, and then for Western Electric.
She and her late husband Hayden F. Evans were active in the Tamaqua Elks Lodge.
Born in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Tentinger.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Linda L. (Evans) Whitehead of York, Pa.;
Two grandchildren, Lori Whitehead, and Jodi Shenberger;
Three great-grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, and Colton;
Preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Merlin, and Gerald Tentinger; sister, Mrs. Delores Popkins.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, December 26, 2011.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, December 26, 2011, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate.
Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua, Pa.
