Mr. Lester Gangaware, age 83, of Lansford, Pa., died Monday, February 4, 2008, in his home at 524 East Bertsch Street Lansford, Pa.
Lester retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, having served as maintenance foreman in Slatington, Pa.
A 1942 Lansford High school graduate, Lester served in the U.S. Army 17th Airbourne Division during WWII.
He was a member of the Coaldale American Legion and V.F.W., as well as the 17th Airbourne Alumni.
Born in Lansford, Pa., he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Ella (Waidlich) Gangaware.

Mr. Jefferey A. Gangaware and his wife Bernice of Coaldale, Pa.
Bruce D. Porambo with whom he resided, of Lansford, Pa.
Lester D. Porambo of Colorado
Two grandchildren
Preceded in death by sisters, Ruth F. Gangaware, Berdella Cannon, Doris H. Gangaware; brothers, Granville, Harold, and Emmanuel Gangaware.

Interment will be at Grand Army in Summit Hill, Pa.
