Leonard M. Zukas

Leonard M. Zukas, 76 of 130 Walnut Street, Tuscarora PA died Tuesday 11-08-2005 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville.
He was the husband of the late Ruth Adele (Wallace) Zukas.

Born in Tuscarora he was the son of the late Albert & Kathryn (Yarnell) Zukas.

Mr. Zukas worked for Atlas Powder Company and was an owner of Tuscarora Mines and Minerals. He was also a member of Advent Lutheran church - Tuscarora, Middleport Legion Post #0144, Tuscarora Fire Company, Moss Glenn Rod and Gun Club, the Oil, Chemical and Atomic workers International Union and a graduate of Blythe Twp High School class of 1947.

Mr. Zukas was a member of the United States Army having served in Korea.

Survivors:
Son: Leonard M. Jr and his wife Cindy of Tuscarora.
Daughters: A. Marlene wife of Austin Klopp of Robesonia, PA, Kathy A. Wife of Kevin Valentine of Tamaqua, Stacia A. wife of Thomas Visgarda of Leesport, PA.
Sister Elizabeth "Betty" Chelak of Park Place, Mahanoy City

Calling Hours: Friday from 6-8 pm from the Griffiths - Reeser Funeral Home, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua PA 18252.

Funeral Service: Saturday at 10 AM from the Advent Lutheran Church in Tuscarora with Rev. Jennifer M. Oaks officiating.

Interment: Sky View Memorial Park with Military Honors
