Leonard A Steigerwalt

Leonard A Steigerwalt, age 78, of Schuylkill Ave., Tamaqua, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn P. (Adams) Steigerwalt.

Leonard had worked for Lowell Koch's Turkey Farm for over 50 years.

He served honorably in the National Guard.

Leonard was a member of Primitive Methodist Church of Tamaqua. He enjoyed race cars, woodworking and gardening.

Born in New Ringgold on November 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Oscar Steigerwalt and the late Verna (Rex) Steigerwalt

Three Grandchildren,
Nathan, Alex and Sarah.

Preceded in death by his sisters, LaVerne Oswald and Sandra Sassaman;
brother, Oscar Steigerwalt, Jr.

Private Services have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.

Private Interment.
