Mrs. Leona J. (Vetter) Moon, age 96, of Weatherly died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Hazleton General Hospital.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C of Weatherly and the Flower Club of Weatherly.
She was a homemaker.
Born in West Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Stadnick) Vetter.
She is survived by her
sons, Edward C. Moon and his wife Patricia of Weatherly; George W. Moon and his wife Diane of Weatherly; and Robert J. Moon and his wife Carol of Newport, DE
7 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren
Preceded in death by her husband in 1978, John E. Moon; brothers, Joseph, Henry, Leo, Eddie, John and Stanley Vetter; and sisters, Sarah Grohol, Helen Wolfe, Genevieve Bubrowski and Mary (Vetter).
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Supervisor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane St., Weatherly, Pa., Reverend Floyd Caesar officiating. Calling hours from 10-11 A.M. at the church on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pa.
