Leona M. (Lehotta) Duncavage, age 79, formerly of Orwigsburg Street Tamaqua, died Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Schuylkill Center Genesis Elder Care in Pottsville.
Widow of Robert A. Duncavage, who died on Nov. 24, 1994.
Leona was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
She belonged to the South Ward Fire Co. Aux.
Leona had worked for the former Atlas Powder Co., and tended bar for the Last Chance Saloon.
Born in Tuscarora, she was the daughter of the late George and Cecila (Hill) Lehotta.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Marylee (Duncavage) Boyer wife of Leroy of Tamaqua;
One Sister,
Jeanette (Lehotta) Kristoff of Levittown, Pa.;
Two grandchildren, Raymond Woodring and his wife Michelle, and LeeAnn Woodring;
Two great-grandchildren, Bailey, and Brady;
Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Nancy Leskosky; brother, George "Tarzan" Lehotta.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013, and on Wed. morning Feb. 06, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, Rev. william Linkchorst to officiate.
