Laverne A. Wertman

LaVerne A Wertman, age 78, of Fawn Lane, Tamaqua, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at St. Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem.
LaVerne spent the last 17 years of her life with her Life Sharing Family Sheila Davison of Tamaqua. She will be missed by many.
LaVerne was a member of St. Peter's Union Church of Mantzville, and St. John U.C.C. Church of Tamaqua.
LaVerne loved all animals especially her dogs Ace, and Bear. She loved to travel, and had been to Disney World many times. LaVerne was a tireless volunteer in the Tamaqua Community, sharing her time with the Tamaqua Salvation Army, Horses for Horizons, and delivering Meals on Wheels.
Born in East Penn Township on November 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. Wertman and the late Arlene S. (Fritz) Wertman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
Funeral Service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, Reverend Kenneth L. Buckwalter officiating.
Interment will be at St Peters Church Cemetery, Mantzville.
