Larry G. Hoppes, 74 of  Atlas Road Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Bethlehem. Born Tuesday, July 31, 1945 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Leander and Irene (Padora) Hoppes.  Surviving are; his wife, Bonnie L. (Meeker) Hoppes;  son, Attorney Keith Hoppes and his wife Ashley of Hummelstown; daughter, Nikki Sweeney and her husband Daniel of Brookhaven; sisters, Marie Tennant, and Georgine Yost wife of Donald; step children; Richard W. Faux and his wife Georgine of Harveys Lake, Denise (Faux) Rosencrans and her husband Brad of Sweet Valley; grand children, Noah, Eli, CJ and his fiancée Brittany, Samantha, Janelle, Faith, Kayla and her husband Levi; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Lylah, and Bryce. A 1963 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Larry served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry was a self-employed machinist. He was a member of the West Penn Rod & Gun Club, and the West Penn Fire Company. An Eagle Scout himself, Larry served as Scout Master of Troop #775 Clamtown for many years. Larry was a model N-gauge train enthusiast. Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the E.
