Larry J. "Duce" Mcdonald

Larry J. " Duce" McDonald , 59 of West Abbott Street, Lansford, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

Survived by his wife of 20 years, Dianne L. (Evans) McDonald.

Born Saturday, January 15, 1955 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George and Anna Mae (Boyle) McDonald.

A 1973 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Larry had worked maintenance at Ametek of Nesquehoning for over thirty-six years.

Catholic by faith, he was a member of St. Gabriel's Italian club of Summit Hill. Larry, was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to Golf, and was an outstanding pool shooter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by;

Step son,
Jason Miller and his wife Amber of Ft. Myers, FL;

Brother,
James P. McDonald, and his wife Claudia of Lansford;

Grand children, Zachary, and Braydon;

Nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his brothers, George R. McDonald, who died in 1968, and Thomas C. McDonald, who died on June 9, 1995.

The Holmes - Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252 is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends from the funeral home, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Thursday, February 20, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 o'clock A.M, Thursday February 20, 2014.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, PA.
