Kurt Shellhamer

Kurt Shellhamer, age 67, of Zion Stone Church Road New Ringgold, Pa., died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at St. Joseph's Medical Ctr, Reading in Reading.

Kurt, was employeed as an electrician for Glen- Gery Brick of Shoemakersville, and was a retiree of Bethlehem Steel.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, he earned his electricians certificate from Lincoln Technical Institute of Allentown.

Kurt, was a member of the Tamaqua congregation of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed camping with his family.

Born in West Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Paul M. and Elva (Knepper) Shellhamer.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Marian (Reinhart) Shellhamer;

Kelly A. (Shellhamer) Sterner wife of Jeff of Tamaqua,
Lynn A. (Shellhamer) Bixler wife of Thomas of Tamaqua;

Two Sons,
Ryan T. Shellhamer and his wife Misty of Pottsville,
Kurt N. Shellhamer of Hazleton;

Four Sisters,
Carol (Shellhamer) Tierney wife of James of New Ringgold,
Diane (Shellhamer) Schock wife of Ronald of New Ringgold,
Adele (Shellhamer) Sadler wife of Robert of San Jacinto, Calif.,
Audrey (Shellhamer) Gerber wife of Carl of Leesburg, Va.;

One Brother,
Rev., Dale M. Shellhamer and his wife Nancy of New Ringgold;

Twelve grandchildren
One great-grandchild

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 22, 2011.
