Kenneth J Vogel, age 92, of Quakake Rd., Weatherly, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Elizabeth "Libby" (Hinkle) Vogel on 12/12/2007.
Kenneth was self-employed and owner operator of Vogel Bus Company for 60 years. He had also previously worked at Tung-Sol in Weatherly.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Union Church, Weatherly and a member of the Laurel Masonic Lodge #467 F&A.M, WhiteHaven.
Born in Lower Towamensing Twsp., Carbon County, he was the son of the late Tilghman Vogel and the late Gertrude A. (Meckes) Vogel. He was also predeceased by a step son, Robert Young; siblings, Kermit Vogel, Emory Vogel, Dorothy Vogel, and Eugene Vogel.
He is survived by; sister, Verna Vogel; step children, Jack young and his wife Joyce, Carol Furmanchin, and Nina Roppa and her husband Phil; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren many friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2017.
Funeral service will be at Philip J Jeffries Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2017, Pastor Marjorie Keiter to officiate.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
