Mrs. Kathryn L (Quinn) Truskey, age 91, of Harrisburg, Pa., formerly of Tamaqua, Pa., died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Harrisburg Community Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.
A Mahanoy City High School graduate, Kathryn was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Pa.
After having worked for the former Atlas Powder Compnay in Wilmington DE., Kathryn returned to Tamaqua to raise her family, returning to the work force as a folder at the former Purling Mills of Tamaqua.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and Catholic Women's Education Assoc.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of the late James and Loretta (Igo) Quinn.
She is survived by her
Two Sons,
Leon J. Truskey, Jr. and his wife Geralyn of Denver, Pa.
Michael F. Truskey, with whom she resided of Harrisburg, Pa.;
Five grandchildren, Maria, Elizabeth, Joseph, Sara, and Andrew;
Three great-grandchildren,Julea, Jaden, and Cooper;
Preceded in death by her husband in 1996, Leon Joseph Truskey, Sr.; brothers, James, Francis, and Thomas Quinn.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 16, 2009.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 16, 2009, Rev. Ron Jankaitis officiating.
Interment will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
