Kathryn Alverta Hoffman

Kathryn A (Weidman) Hoffman, age 87, of Buck Mt. Rd., Weatherly, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton Campus.
She was the widow of Earl A. Hoffman, Sr. who died in 1982
Kathryn had previously worked at Luden's Candy Shop, Reading, Tung-Sol, Weatherly and retired from RCA, Mountain Top.
She attended Faith Assembly of God, Hazleton for the past 10 years and she was the former Secretary/Treasurer for St. John's U.C.C./Rockport.
Kathryn enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning and the outdoors where she liked to hunt, fish and camp with her family.
She was an avid reader and word finder and a fan of the Atlanta Braves Baseball.
Born in Mohnton, PA on December 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert D. Weidman and the late Katie (Strunk) Weidman.
She is survived by her
Four Sons,
Earl A Hoffman, Jr. and his wife MaryAnn;
Robert J Hoffman, Sr. and his wife Linda;
Howard P Hoffman;
Glenn L Hoffman, Sr. and his wife Merilina, all of Weatherly;
Sister,
Anna Kaucher of Temple, PA;
Twelve Grandchildren;
Twenty-Eight Great-Grandchildren;
Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by her grandchildren, Richard and Karen Hoffman; brothers, Paul Stoner and Phares Weidman; sister, Pauline Keller; nephew, James Kaucher.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Funeral service will be at Faith Assembly of God 34 Fox Manor Rd., Hazleton, PA at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2015, Pastor Rodney Murphy to officiate. Call at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be at Mt. Laurel Cemetery, Hazleton.
Memorials in her honor may be sent to the church.
