Karl A.H. Krause

Mr. Karl A.H. Krause, age 96, of Orwigsburg, formerly of New Ringgold, died Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Pine Creek Drive Orwigsburg, Pa., in the care of his family.

A 1931 West Hazleton High School graduate, Karl retired from the former Atlas Powder Co. in 1979 having worked 39 years as a maintenance mechanic.

He was a member of the Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp., Masonic Lodge #238 of Tamaqua, and the Allentown Consistory.

Born in West Hazleton, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and the late Martha (Konitzer) Krause.

He is survived by his

One Daughter,
Ruth L. (Krause) Smythe, Esq., wife of Donald of Rehoboth, Del.;

Two Sons,
Robert F. Krause, and his wife Lois, with whom he resided, of Orwigsburg,
Richard K. Krause of Lansford;

Eight grandchildren
Eleven great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by is wife, Evelyn (Miller) Krause on January 29, 1997; Brothers, Arthur, Ludwig, William, Robert, George, and Edwin Krause; sisters, Miss. Marie Krause, Mrs. Ida Fichter, Mrs. Dora Mentch, Miss. Olga Krause, Miss Louise Krause, Mrs. Martha Lewis, Mrs. Frieda Schrader, Miss. Anna Krause, and Mrs. Elma Stanton

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., Rte.# 309, 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa..

A Memorial Service will be celebrated November 16, 2010 at 12 o'clock noon from Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp. on Cemetery Road in New Ringgold, Rev. Michael A. Frost officiating.

Friends shall be received from 11:00 A.M. until time of services, at Zion's Stone Church of West Penn Twp..

Interment in Zion Stone Church Cemetery, New Ringgold.
