Karen E Terry, mother, and nana, 69 years of age, of East Patterson Street, Lansford, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale.
Widow of Leonard J. Terry who passed away on May 14, 2000, she is survived by; daughters, Lisa Terry of Lansford, Antonia Bernhard wife of Timothy of Jim Thorpe; sons, Brian C. Terry of Mansfield Texas, and Neil Terry of Lansford; sisters, Mrs. Joyce Nalesnik of Lansford, Mrs. Renee Sassaman wife of Ed of Tamaqua, Mrs. Doris Arsenault of Coaldale, Mrs. Kimberly Betz wife of Francis of Tamaqua, Mrs. Palma Michlovsky wife of Leonard of Nesquehoning, Mrs. Patricia Swartz of Nesquehoning; brothers, Mr. Ronald Murphy of Lehighton, Mr. Craig Murphy and his wife Betsy of Jim Thorpe, Mr. Richard Murphy and his wife Anne of Coaldale, Mr. Michael Murphy of Lansford; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews survive Karen.
A 1965 graduate of Panther Valley High School, Karen had worked as a clerk for the former A&P grocery store in Tamaqua. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C.C. of Summit Hill. Karen adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed crocheting.
Born Saturday, August 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Russell Murphy and the late Joyce (Miller) Murphy. She was also predeceased by a sister, Rochelle Murphy; brother, Russell Murphy.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o'clock A.M. on Thursday October 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's R.C.C. located at 452 East Ludlow Street Summit Hill, Pennsylvania 18250.
Friends may call Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M..
No morning calling hours.
Interment St. Michael's R.C.C. Cemetery Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.
