June (Kamant) Santly, age 75, of East Mauch Chunk Street Tamaqua, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at home in the care of her family.
Widow of Charles R. Santly, who died on June 13, 2004.
A 1955 Marian High School graduate, June was office manager for the former New Kemp Sportswear. She and her late husband owned Power-Tool repair, a small engine repair business until his passing.
A member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., June had done amateur modeling for J. E. Morgan apparel.
She loved her fishing trips to the camper in Canada.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle (Adamitis) Kamant.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Charise (Santly) Matalavage of Tamaqua;
One Son,
Robin C. Santly of Lansford;
One Brother,
Joseph Kamant of Tamaqua;
Three grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, and Matthew;
Two great-grandchildren, Dominick and Peyton;
Son-in-law, Barry Matalavage;
Preceded in death by a brother, Jack Kamant.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, June 17, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. at 10:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012, Rev. William Linkchorst to officiate.
Private interment services.
