Miss Julia B. Balish, age 92, formerly of Coaldale, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in, Tamaqua.
A 1934 Coaldale High School graduate, Julia was and active member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C. of Coaldale, and now belongs to SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
She was past president of the Rosary Society, and member of the Daughter's of Mary, while serving as former secretary of the First Slovak Catholic Ladies Assoc. during her years at SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C..
Julia, retired from the former Kiddie Kloes of Lansford.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Mary (Michalick) Balish.
She is survived by her
One Sister,
Mrs. Mary (Balish) Blasko of Harrisburg;
Care givers, Rose Ann Weaver, and Lori Swinburne;
Many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Joseph Balish; sisters, Mrs. Anna Yarosky, and Mrs. Rose Morana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010, Rev. Wiliam Linkchorst officiating.
Interment will be at SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C. Cemetery, Nesquehoning.
