Joyce Annette Sotack

Mrs. Joyce Annette (Bickelman) Sotack, age 67, of Sotack Lane, Weatherly, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at home.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, G. Robert Sotack.

She had been employed by Weatherly High School as a cafeteria worker, retiring in 2008 after 30 years of service.

Joyce was a member of St. Joseph's R.C.C. of Hazleton.

She was a 1962 graduate of Weatherly High School.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Norman Bickelman and the late Irene (Hittinger) Bickelman.

She is also survived by her

One Daughter,
Shannon Sotack and her companion Richard Berger of Hudsondale;

One Brother,
Paul Bickelman and his wife Mary of Moscow, Pa.;

Sisters-in-law,
Mary Bickelman and D.M. Sotack both of Weatherly;

Brothers-in-law,
Tim Sotack, Bill Sotack and John Surochak;

One Grandchild,
Robert Tyler Pressler;

Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by her brother, Clair Bickelman in 2007.


Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 5-7 PM.

Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Deacon Leonard Kassick to officiate.

Private Interment.
