Mr. Joseph "Cotton" Raymond, age 85, of 313 Mulberry Street Tuscarora, Pa., died Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa. He was the husband of Helen (Watsula) Raymond and they were married for 60 years.

Born in Mt. Laffee he was the son of the late Bill Raymond and the late Mary (Patoray) Raymond.

Mr. Raymond was employed by Mt. Carbon Brewery for 20 years until closing and later worked for Bethlehem Mines as a truck driver.

He was a member of St. Bertha's Roman Catholic Church and a United States Army Veteran Serving in WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Helen (Watsula) Raymond

Bernadine wife of Arthur J. Oakes of Tamaqua, PA.

One Son,
Gene Raymond and his wife Ruth Marie of Andreas,PA.

Three Sisters,
Anna Pedron of Tuscarora, Pa.
Mary Petrush of Middleport, Pa.
Helen wife of Reese Davies of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Kenneth A. Oakes, sister Margaret Raymond and brothers, Vincent Raymond, John Howay and Michael Howay.

Calling Hours: Sunday 10-14-2007 from 7-9 PM at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Inc. and again on Monday from 8:30am-9:30am at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM Monday from St. Bertha's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Bechtel officiating.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa with full military honors.
