Joseph W. Lesko, Sr., husband, father, and grandfather, of Lausanne Twp., Weatherly, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at home while in the care of his family.
Survived by his wife Theresa A. (Washelofsky) Lesko.
Joseph attended Weatherly High School, and was a Cpl. in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mechanically inclined, Joseph worked for Kovatch Coporation of Nesquehoning. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt and fish. Joe’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
Orthodox by faith, he was affiliated with Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church of McAdoo.
Born in Lausanne Twp., he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Kaminski) Lesko.

Five grandchildren, Erin Visicaro and her husband Philip, Nicolai Lesko, Caitlin Lesko, Olivia Hirko, and Karoline Hirko;
Two great-grandchildren, Philip J., and Natasha R. Visicaro.
He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Stella Jadkowski, Mrs. Olga Zeller, Mrs. Mary Pasternak, Mrs. Ann Getz, Mrs. Sonia Wasielowski, and infant sister Eva; brothers, Sam, John, Peter, Walter, and Paul Lesko.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa. 18255.
Graveside Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Wed., December 11, 2013 at noon from Union Cemetery, West Main Street Weatherly, Pa. 18255, Rev. Floyd Caesar to officiate.
