Joseph M. " ChappY" Rayno, husband, father, and grandfather, age 81, of Entwistle Street Weatherly, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores C. "Dolly" (De'Melfi) Rayno.
A 1949 West Hazleton High School graduate, Joseph attended Penn State University.
He was a General Contractor.
Chappy, served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Weatherly Legion Post #360, and White Haven V.F.W. Post #6615.
A member of the Citizens Fire Company#1 of Weatherly, and Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C.
Born in Beaver Meadows, he was the son of the late Michael and Sophy (Kulick) Rayno.
He is also survived by,

Kathleen M. (Rayno) Artim of Bath, Pa.;
Two Sons,
Paul J. Rayno of Hazleton,
Joseph M. Rayno, Jr. of Weatherly;
One Brother,
Michael" Mickey" Rayno and his wife Connie of Weatherly;
Three grandchildren, Daniel J., and Dillion Artim, and Nicole A. Rayno;
Preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ann Rayno; brother, Robert Rayno
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Inc., 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 and from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Loudes R.C.C. at 11 o'clock A.M. on Sat., October 13, 2012.
Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Nicholas R.C.C. Cemetery, Weatherly.
