John H Ulmer, age 77, of Ashfield, PA, died suddenly Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Palmerton Hospital Blue Mt. Health Ctr., Palmerton.
John had worked in the brokerage business for Smith Barney Operations.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.He graduated from Benjamin High School, Carbondale.
John was Protestant by faith.
Born in Carbondale on September 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Willis K. and Mercena S. (Seaman) Ulmer.
He is survived by hisTwo Daughters,Amanda A Freed wife of Tim of Sinking Spring;Kara M Kelly wife of Dennis of Collegeville;
Granddaughter,Ava Freed;
Ex-Wife,Bernadette DeBoard and her husband George of Roslyn, PA.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Charles.
Private Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA.
Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PAOnline Registry and Condolences may be signed at www.griffithsfuneralhomes.com .
