Mr. John C Talton, age 81, of New Ringgold, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Schuylkill Medical Center in Pottsville, Pa.
John was Baptist by faith and enjoyed painting figurines and listening to down home blues music.
He was a veteran and a mason by trade.
Born in Angier, N.C., he was the son of the late Will and Annie (Ryals) Talton.
He is survived by his
one daughter,
Maria D Talton of Washington D.C.
two sons,
Ricky D. Talton of Fayetteville, N.C. and
Dwight C. Talton and his wife Wilhemenia of Florence, S.C.
two brothers,
William Rodgers Talton and his wife Josephine of Newport News, VA and
Pastor Jimmy Talton and his wife Daisy of Brooklyn, NY
three grandchildren, Leeversia Maevina Talton of Lancaster,PA, Derrick Andre Talton and his wife LaKendra of Charlotte, N.C. and K.C. Talton of Florence, S.C.
four great-grandchildren, Anastasia and Alexandra Dennis of Lancaster, PA, LaKia and Erica Talton of Charlotte, N.C.
Preceded in death by his wife on 9-10-2000, Willie Mae Talton; brothers, Frank Talton and Eugene Ryals; sisters, Catherine Prince and Callie Jane Reily.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 9-11 AM.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Pastor James A. Prince of Sanford, N.C. officiating.
Interment at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pa.
