John C. Mayer, 94 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at home.
John served his country with valor having been awarded a Bronze Star, and Purple Heart during WWII while serving as a Medic in the United States Army.
A graduate of Yale Unversity, John earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture. He was a principle partner at William Tablor Architecture in New York City.
Surviving are daughter, Melissa Mayer of Lansford; four grandchildren.
Born in Munich Germany the son of the late William, and Elizabeth (Wolfe) Mayer, he was also predeceased by; son, Christopher W. Mayer; sisters, Uli Mitchum, Beata Sauerlander; brother, Rev. Father Michael Mayer as episcopal priest.

Interment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
