John R. Leipold

John Leipold, loving husband of 53 years, doting father, beloved Opa, of
Lake Hauto, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday,
January 13, 2024, at 83 years of age.

Born Wednesday, September 18, 1940 in Queens, New York, the son of
the late Henry, and Paula (Schneider) Leipold.  John was also
predeceased by his brother, Charles Leipold.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn (Wolfsturm) Leipold; daughters, Krista A.
Sturgeon and her fiancé Greg Bowling; Anne M. Macrigiane wife of
James; son, John R. Leipold and his wife Angela; grandchildren, Sofia,
Matthew, Cali, Grace, and Isaac.

A graduate of Power Memorial Academy in New York City, John served
honorably in the United States Army. John had a long tenured career in
sales working for Hastings Filters. He enjoyed working and restoring
antique cars and served the Lake Hauto community by maintaining the
library and serving as a volunteer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish at
307 Pine Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252 on Monday January 29, 2024 at 11 o'clock A.M. Friends will be recieved from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass in the church social hall.

Interment with Military Honors bestowed will be in Sky-View Memorial
Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
