John F. Kintz

Mr. John F. Kintz, age 68, of Spring House Road Lehighton, Pa., died Thursday, April 17, 2008, upon arrival at Gnaden Heutten Hospital in Lehighton, Pa.

John retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1998 having worked in the Coke Works for 32 years. He served in the Army National Gaurd, 165th Military Police Unit out of Lehighton, Pa. for 22 years. John was activated into full service during the Berlin Crisis for 18 months in 1961. He was a member of theHower American Legion Post #899 of Walnutport, Pa.

A member of Ben Salem U.C.C. Lehighton, he was also a lifetime member of the Andreas Sporting Club, Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, Mahoning Fire Compnay.

John enjoyed playing Softball for the Franklin Old Timer's League, and Twin Vally League, he was also an avid Golfer.

Born in Weissport, Pa., he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Moser) Kintz.

He is also survived by his wife Mrs. Marion E. (Gerber) Kintz;

One Daughter,
Mrs. Kathy L. (Kintz) wife of Jody Sterling of Lehighton, Pa.

Three Sons,
Mr. David J. Kintz and his wife Brenda of Barnesville, Pa.
Mr. Robert J. Kintz and his wife Deborah of Andreas, Pa.
Mr. Brian D. Kintz of Walnutport, Pa.

Three Sisters,
Helen wife of George Moll of Lehighton, Pa.
Marie wife of Richard Colson of Palmerton, Pa.
Ethel wife Neal Strohl of Kunkletown, Pa.

Seven grandchildren
One great-grandchild

Preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Kintz, LaMont Walck, Kermit Kintz, and Clarence Kintz; sister's LaRue Walck, and Carolyn Behler

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

Funeral service will be at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008, Rev. Jefrrey Kistler officiating.

Interment will be at Ben Salem Church Cemetery, Military honors presented by the Lehighton U.V.O.
