John P. "Jack" Zalesak, 70 years of age, of West Early Ave., Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 8, 2017, at home.
Surviving are; sons, Jerry Zalesak of Elizabethtown, Jeffrey Zalesak and his fiancé Aisha Merovich of Dillsburg, and Jordan J. Zalesak of Harrisburg; brother, Stephen Zalesak of Coaldale; sisters, Christine Dover of Coaldale, Diane Feaster of Virginia; grand children, Parker Avery, and Peyton Taylor.
Born Wednesday, July 2, 1947 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania son of the late John and Ann (Behovich) Zalesak. Jack was also predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Betty-Jane "Janie" Zalesak.
A graduate of Panther Valley High School, Jack served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Jack earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University with an emphasis in Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant. Jack, retired from Kovatch Enterprise's of Nesquehoning having worked as a Contract Administrator.
An avid outdoorsman, Jack liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog's Gage, and Gretchen. He trained Beagles for field trial competition's, winning many first place ribbons and trophies. In retirement Jack trained hunting dogs. Jack often mentioned how much he liked living in the Coal Regions, echoing "God's Country".

A Remembrance Services will be held on Thursday evening December 14, 2017 at 7 o'clock P.M. from the fuenral home. Friends may call on the evening of services from 5:00 P.M. to time of services.
Interment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Annville, Pennsylvania.
