John T. Goshiney, 73 years of age of Plantation Drive, Barnesville, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.
Survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Niki J. (Brazinsky) Goshiney;
Sister,
Ann Marie Gallagher wife of John of Mahanoy City;
Niece,
Maria Gallagher and her husband Kieran Daly of Arlington, Va.;
Extended family, Anna & Brendan Lewis.
Born Thursday, June 5, 1941 in Shenandoah, he was the son of the late George and Rita (Thornton) Goshiney.
A Mahanoy Township High School graduate, John attended The McCann's School of Business in Mahanoy City. He retired from Bartush Signs of Orwigsburg, having worked as Purchasing Manager and in Sales.
John, was an ardent fan of Mahanoy Area High School sports, serving as Statitician for the Mahanoy City Boys Varsity Basketball Team. John was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan as well.
John was part of the Tuesday Breakfast Club meeting at White Birch Golf Course.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock AM on Saturday from St. Richard's R.C.C. located at 709 Barnesville Drive, Barnesville, Pennsylvania 18214, Rev. Joseph T. Whalen to officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2014, at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Private interment, Sky View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
