Mr. John Franklin "Jack" Reichelderfer, Jr., age 86, of Jim Thorpe, Pa., died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at home in Jim Thorpe, Pa., cared for by his wife Janet.
A 1940 Tamaqua High School graduate, Jack then graduated from the New York Institute of Photography.
For thirty years, Jack was a fashion photographer in New York City. Upon retiring and returning to Tamaqua, he pursued his love of Fly Fishing. He was a renowned guide and expert fisherman, having guided many famous C.E.O's.
Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late John Reichelderfer, Sr. and Anna (Beckman) Reichelderfer.
He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Mrs. Janet M. (Pantella) Reichelderfer;
Mother-in-law, Betty Pantella;
Preceded in death by his first wife, Ursula L. (Cerine) Reichelderfer, in 1995.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
Memorial Service will be at Christ Lutheran Church189 Church Road Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229 at 6:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010, Rev. John Hassler officiating.
Private Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua.
