John (Jack) Davidock, 80, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, May 19, at home
from complications of COPD. Born March 21, 1942, he was the son of the late John and Agnes
(Marcinowsky) Davidock of Hosensock.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Madeline (Fernandez) in
March 2021 and a brother Stephen. He is survived by sons Tom (Beth Anne) and Jeffrey both of S.C. and
his beloved grandchildren Madelynn and Seth Davidock, at home, who he and his late wife raised and
who took care of him during his illness. He is also survived by siblings Joan (Alvin) Lewis, Roseann
Sekella, both of Allentown and Patricia (Wayne) Truskey of Tamaqua and several nieces and nephews.
Jack graduated in 1959 from Mahanoy Township High School. He was an US Navy Veteran and a retired
employee of Mack Trucks in Winnesboro S.C. Before relocating to S.C. for his job, Jack lived in
Barnesville in his family home. Before becoming ill, the one thing Jack really loved was his annual trip
home to Pennsylvania for deer hunting and spending time with his family here. He was much loved and
will be deeply missed.
