John "Jack" Daukshus

July 30, 1941 — April 1, 2015

John A."Jack" Daukshus, 73 years of age of Arlington Street, Tamaqua passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at home.

Survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mary Jean (Dillon) Daukshus.

A 1959 Tamaqua High School graduate, Jack attended Penn State University, and earned his B.S. in Management & Information Systems from Moravian College in 1996.

Jack retired from Chrysler First as a System's Analyst having worked thirty-five years with the company.

He was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C., of Tamaqua. He was active in the Tamaqua Dart League having served as President and Statistician. Jack was an avid Penn State and Phillies fan.

Born Wednesday, July 30,1941, the son of late, John J., and Evelyn (Butcavage) Daukshus-Protinick.

In addition to his wife he is survived by;

Daughters, Ann Ostergaard and her husband Leonard of Tamaqua, Karen Kammerdiener and her husband Jon of Easton. Laurie Daukshus of Tamaqua;

Son, John E. Daukshus and his wife Christa of Easton;

Grandchildren who affectionately called him Pop-Pop Jack; James, Nicholas, Emily, Leah, Kaitlin, and Claire;

Preceded in death by step father, Michael "Putz" Protinick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Church, St. John XXIII Parish on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 11 o'clock A.M. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

A Gathering of Friends shall take place Monday evening April 6, 2015 at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on Tuesday morning April 7, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

Interment SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery, Owl Creek, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
